International House
We suggest staying at the University of Chicago International House which has rooms with both single and queen beds.
- Directions By Car: Take Lake Shore Drive to the 57th Street exit (Museum of Science and Industry). Drive four blocks west to Stony Island Avenue, then south to 59th Street, then two blocks west. Get Driving Directions Here »

- Omega Airport Shuttle: The Omega Shuttle picks up at both Midway and O'Hare and makes regular stops at the International House.
Other Housing Options
If you opt not to stay in the International House you are free to book your own accommodations. The two most affordable alternatives we've found are either the Downtown Travelodge or the Hosteling International Hostel downtown. At the Travelodge rates generally range from $111 per night to $143 per night for up to four people. The Hostel has rates similar to the International House for dormitory-style housing (no private rooms).

Parking downtown costs $27/night at the hostel.
Transportation
Both the Travelodge and the Hostel are 15 minutes away by car or about 30 minutes away by public transportation from the International House. The directions below are from the hostel but the two locations are only about a block from each other.
